Privacy Notice
Last updated: 08-08-2026
JUMOQ provides learning, assessment, certification and compliance services. This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit our website or use the platform.
Who is responsible for your data
For direct learners and public-site visitors, JUMOQ is normally the data controller. Where an organisation provides JUMOQ to its workforce or learners, that organisation is normally the controller and JUMOQ acts as its processor. Contact your organisation first for organisation-managed accounts.
Information we collect
- Identity, account, organisation membership and contact details.
- Enrolments, learning activity, attendance, assessment answers, scores, feedback and certificates.
- Purchase, subscription and transaction references; payment-card details are handled by authorised payment providers and are not stored by JUMOQ.
- Support enquiries, communications, preferences and policy acknowledgements.
- Security, audit and technical data such as IP address, device/browser information and session activity.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
We process data to provide contracted services, administer learning and certification, keep the platform secure, meet legal and regulatory duties, support legitimate operational interests, and respond to requests. Where required, optional cookies and direct marketing rely on consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.
Sharing and international transfers
Data is shared only with authorised members of your organisation and vetted providers needed for hosting, storage, email, support, analytics or payments. We do not sell personal data. Where data is transferred internationally, we use applicable contractual and organisational safeguards.
Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for the service, legal, financial, certification, audit and dispute-resolution requirements. Retention may be set by your organisation. Data is then deleted or anonymised through governed processes.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, including the UK/EU GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent. JUMOQ provides governed personal-data export and anonymisation workflows. Some records may be retained where law or legitimate certification and audit obligations require it.
Automated decisions and children
Assessment rules may automatically calculate scores, completion and certificate eligibility. Decisions with significant effects can be reviewed through the relevant organisation or JUMOQ support. JUMOQ is intended for authorised learners and is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent without a parent or guardian.
Security and complaints
We use role-based access, private storage, encryption in transit, audit logging and security monitoring. No system is risk-free. You may complain to your local data-protection authority if you believe your rights have not been respected.
